This Instant Pot Buffalo Chicken is a quick and easy way to cook and flavor your chicken! Cook for a crowd or meal prep with this recipe!
“It tastes like chicken with buffalo sauce on it.” – Mr. FFF
Not even going to beat around the bush here. This is not an ultra fancy recipe.
It’s not me getting creative with buffalo sauce like when I made you paleo buffalo chicken spaghetti squash casserole or healthy buffalo chicken dip with cauliflower.
It’s not veggie packed air-fryer buffalo cauliflower recipe…
…BUT it is DELICIOUS, easy and perfect to throw together in a pinch to use for dinner, meal prep OR to feed a crowd on game day.
So…that’s a win!
Why this is the EASIEST Dinner

How to make Instant Pot Buffalo Chicken
Place the chicken into your instant pot and add the rest of the ingredients.
Cover the instant pot with its lid, set it to sealing and cook on manual high pressure for 10 minutes. Do an instant steam release and then check to ensure the chicken is fully cooked.
Remove the chicken from the sauce in the instant pot and shred it, then add it back to the instant pot.

How to make it Paleo or Whole30
Making buffalo chicken in the instant pot is SO fast and easy, but did you know that you can also tweak the recipe a bit to suit your family’s dietary preferences and needs? You can use the paleo or whole30 friendly buffalo sauce of your choice and it will be delicious!
How to shred cooked chicken
First, remove the cooked chicken breasts from the instant pot, leaving the sauce in the pot. Next, you’re going to shred it- I find this easiest to do by using 2 forks to pull it apart. If you’d rather cut it into bite sized pieces with a large knife, feel free to do so.
How to use Buffalo Chicken
There are SO many ways to get creative with buffalo chicken. You can use it to make Cheesy Buffalo Chicken Potato Poppers or cook up some low carb healthy quesadillas and use buffalo chicken instead of bbq chicken. It would also be so tasty piled high on your favorite toasted bun as a sandwich or sprinkled over a pan of crispy nachos!
How to Freeze
It’s easy to cook, easy to use, and SO easy to freeze! If you’ve got leftovers of this tasty chicken or you simply made a double batch to enjoy later, you’ve got the right idea! Simply place the cooked buffalo chicken in a freezer style zip lock bag or a freezer safe, airtight container. Label the chicken with the date and store it in the freezer for up to 3 months.
