It’s HOLIDAY SEASON

Which means it’s time to have brunch! And you know what?

Cooking eggs for a bunch of people on a stove top, without having to make scrambled eggs, is INCREDIBLY HARD.

And, not everyone has an Instant Pot to make Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs

And so? OVEN BAKED EGGS are here to rescue you!

Think of them kind of like egg muffins, but just way simpler because you don’t have to add any fillings! Just crack and GO.

Why Baked Eggs are Awesome

Eggs are a staple in my house, and Mr. FFF and I eat them all. the. Time. I love me a plate of cod scrambled eggs for breakfast, healthy deviled eggs for a party appetizer, and zucchini noodles with pesto fried eggs for dinner! Eggs are such a great way to get your protein intake during the day and there are so many ways to cook and enjoy them! Today’s recipe is going to show you how to make eggs in the oven quickly and easily, and it’s the PERFECT way to feed eggs to a crowd! Cooking eggs was never so fast and simple, and they make a really healthy breakfast too!

Health Benefits of Eggs

Not only is cooking eggs in oven an easy way to feed a crowd, it’s an easy way to give your body the nourishment that it needs to fuel your day! Eggs are a great (and inexpensive) source of protein, along with Vitamin B12, selenium, Vitamin D, B6, B 12 and some other important minerals! They also provide some fat that can help increase satiation and make you feel full longer! Especially paired with their protein content.

Texture of Baked Eggs

Making your eggs in the oven will result in a similar texture to hard boiled eggs, but you can make the egg yolks a LITTLE bit softer. However, they will never be as runny as a fried egg. But, the beauty of baked eggs is that there is no shell to deal with! Simply slide the eggs out of the pan and you are ready to eat!

What to serve with Baked Eggs for Breakfast

On the recipe card below, I’m going to show you how to cook eggs in the oven and it is seriously one of the easiest ways to feed your crew! Like I said, these eggs are great to feed a crowd on Thanksgivingor Christmas morning (or ANY morning for that matter) for breakfast. Serve them alongside some snickerdoodle baked French toast casserole, whole wheat vegan pancakesor even some eggnog waffles and you will have the perfect protein packed addition to your meal! They also make a great high protein snack for anytime of day!

How long to cook eggs in the oven

When learning how to cook eggs in the oven, the most important piece of information to take note of is how long they should be in the oven! I recommend cooking them for about 10 to 12 minutes, as that will leave the yolk a bit runny. Add or remove a minute to ensure the yolk is done to your liking.

How to tell if Baked Eggs are done

You will know that your baked eggs are done when the whites are thick and set, and the yolks are thick but not completely cooked! If you like a firmer yolk, cook the eggs a bit longer! Once they are finished, remove the eggs from the pan by running a butter knife along the edges. Serve them up, season as desired, and enjoy!
