It’s here and I can’t wait because any time that I get to pretend I am meeting my H20 requirement, but really I am just eating fruit, is a time in life that I enjoy.
ESPECIALLY when you add a little “Adult juice” to that “drinking my H20” like we’re doing in this mojito.
I mean, I like a good watermelon smoothie and all…but I much prefer my watermelon in mojito form.
You too? Good, we can be friends.
And, since we’re friends and I know you liked the coconut blueberry mojito last Summer, I KNOW you’re going to love this ULTRA fresh watermelon version.
Why you will LOVE This Recipe
I’m on team mix-it-up when it comes to summer cocktails like mojitos, so you KNOW I had to get experimental and start mixing and tasting drinks to see what is BOMB and what’s a bust. But if I know a fruit that screams summertime, it’s watermelon, am I right or am I right?! I love using watermelon in summer dishes like my summer maple lime watermelon zoodle bowl and it’s seriously refreshing when it is blended up into a healthy strawberry watermelon smoothie, so why not mix it up into a cocktail? This watermelon mojito recipe is going to hit the spot on a hot day and your whole crew will be thanking you and asking for refills! It’s delicious, refreshing, and perfectly sweet and tangy- it’ll be the star of all your backyard BBQs!

How to make Simple Syrup
Making simple syrup at home is actually super easy and fast to whip up, too. All you’ll need to do is combine ½ cup of water and ½ cup of sugar in a small saucepan and heat it over medium heat, stirring often. Once the sugar dissolves, remove it from heat and store the syrup in an airtight container in the fridge. Done! You can also check out honey simple syrup for an alternative recipe using honey.

How to make Mojitos for a Crowd

Are Mojitos Healthy?Although mojitos do have sugar in them, there may be some health benefits to slurping up a mojito every now and then in the summertime! Combining lime juice with mint leaves can aid in your body’s digestion and watermelon is high in water content, so they are also hydrating!
Which Alcohol is Best for Mojitos? When I’m mixing up mojitos for my people, I love using white rum! In my opinion, it adds so much flavor to them and is the perfect choice.
