Why you will LOVE This Recipe

I LOVE strawberries- from strawberry no bake bars ALL the way over to strawberry chicken with goat cheese, I love using them in all kinds of recipes here on the blog. Strawberries are super versatile and I love eating them any time and ALL the time! If you’re also into strawberries, this milk recipe is going to be a FLASHBACK from the past, only SO much better because it uses FRESH strawberries instead of artificial flavoring. Homemade strawberry milk also only requires 3 ingredients and is protein packed, too! You may just need to curl up on the couch watching some cartoons while you drink it to bring you right back to your childhood!

Ingredients Needed

I love a recipe that doesn’t involve a lengthy list of fancy ingredients that you’d need to run to the supermarket to find. This recipe certainly fits the bill and you may not need to run out to grab anything at all! Strawberries and milk only calls for 3 simple ingredients that you may already have in your kitchen. Here’s what you will need to make it:

Sliced StrawberriesSugarUnsweetened Almond Milk (or regular milk)

Place the sugar as well as the sliced strawberries into a small food processor and blend until smooth and broken down.

Transfer the strawberries to a small pot and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, remove from heat and pour into a bowl.

Strawberry Milk FAQ

What kind of Milk to use?In this strawberry milk recipe, I used unsweetened almond milk. This is something you can easily switch up to suit your preferences and dietary needs. Cashew milk or oat milk would also be a great choice for this recipe, and regular cow’s milk would be fantastic, too if you don’t need it to be dairy free!

Can I use a Different Sweetener? If you want to try another sweetener, go for it and be sure to let me know how it works out for you! I have not tested any sweetener except for regular granulated sugar, but other granulated sweeteners should work well, too.

Does the Strawberry Sauce need to chill first?Once you blend up the strawberries with the sugar, it is imperative that you chill them before mixing them up with milk! This is because once you cook them, they will be hot, and will cause your milk to be warm as well. No one likes warm strawberry milk, am I right?!
