Through all the many nerdy moments that fans watched, there are some that stand out as awesome and memorable. These moments not only helped shape Sheldon’s character, they also give fans something hilarious to enjoy.

10 Sheldon’s Batman Birthday Party
One of the sweetest moments from the series was when the group finally learned when Sheldon’s birthday was and threw him the party he never had. Sheldon told Penny, Bernadette, and Amy how, when he was a child, he shared his birthday with his twin sister, but would never have any friends show up. His family also would tell him that Batman was coming to his party, which he never did.

The group is able to pull out all the stops for Sheldon’s party, and even gets Adam West to be the Batman for the party. Sheldon’s birthday party was an awesomely nerdy moment because Sheldon is able to live out the birthday party he never had with Batman, just like he always wanted to do when he was a kid.

9 Sheldon’s Love Of Rules
Sheldon is definitely the quirkiest member of the group, and his love of following the rules proves that he is a stand-out. He loves to follow the rules, whether it’s about cutting in line or the rules of society.

Sheldon also makes contracts to dictate roommate rules and he and Leonard have many disagreements over the course of the series involving the roommate agreement. Sheldon also uses rules to shape his relationship with Amy, making his love for rules a nerdy passion, while also making him unpopular with a few fans of the show.

8 Sheldon Dressing Up As A Star Trek Character
Fans of TBBT know that Sheldon is a massive Star Trek fan. He adores the series, so it was no surprise to fans when he dressed up as Mr. Data, along with Leonard, Howard, and Raj. The group all chooses characters to dress up as while they head to Comic-Con, but make a stop in the middle of the desert to have an impromptu photo shoot.

When Sheldon and Leonard finally arrive at Skywalker Ranch, they easily make their way through the gate and closer to meeting George Lucas.

However, they are eventually stopped by security and their plans to meet George Lucas are ruined. This doesn’t stop Sheldon, though, and he jumps out of the car and attempts to storm Skywalker Ranch. Sheldon is stopped, of course, but his determination to meet Geroge Lucas further proves that he is a Star Wars super fan.

6 When Sheldon Met Stan Lee
Sheldon often openly expressed his love of comic books during the series and when the opportunity to meet Stan Lee arose, Sheldon was excited to meet him. However, Sheldon learns that instead of going to meet Stan Lee, he has to appear in court over a speeding ticket.

After he misses his opportunity to meet Stan Lee, Penny goes above and beyond to make it up to him. She gets Stan Lee’s address and takes Sheldon to meet him. Sheldon is so happy and even invites himself into Stan Lee’s house. This is one of Sheldon’s awesomely nerdy moments because it shows how star-struck he can become over things he is passionate about.

5 Sheldon’s Updated Rock-Paper-Scissors
Sheldon constantly reminds viewers about his love for Star Trek, and his love expands into simple games as well. He feels that playing a standard game of rock-paper-scissors doesn’t cut it with his group of friends. Instead, he adds to the game and creates a new version that is memorable for all fans.

4 Fun With Flags
Sheldon’s love for comics, video games, and pop culture is something that is prominent throughout the whole series, but Sheldon also has another love. His love of knowledge and educating others is another nerdy aspect of his personality. The creation of his web show “Fun With Flags” showcases his nerdy side, while also allowing him to teach others the importance of flags.

Sheldon creates Fun With Flags in the hopes of finding others who are as passionate about flags and he hopes to teach others more about flags in the process. Amy helps Sheldon create the web show and later becomes a co-host. Sheldon’s show gives him the opportunity to teach others while also allowing him to show off his knowledge of flags to whoever will listen.

3 Sheldon’s Many Halloween Costumes
Sheldon’s love of cosplay is another aspect of his personality that can be defined as nerdy. However, his thoughtful and unique Halloween costumes are what shape his personality into that of an awesomely nerdy character. Sheldon’s ability to conjure costumes from comics or even scientific principles is what further solidifies him as a nerdy character.

One of Sheldon’s most iconic scenes is when he dressed up as the Doppler Effect. Sheldon’s love of science and scientific principles inspires his costume choice. He also believes that he will win a prize for his costume at Penny’s party because of his accurate representation.

2 When Sheldon Meets Professor Proton
Sheldon’s love of science can be determined as nerdy, but when he is able to meet the man who originally made him want to be a scientist, his truly nerdy side comes alive. Sheldon learns that Professor Proton, a former TV scientist who appeared on a children’s show, is able to be booked for children’s parties and jumps at the opportunity to meet his idol.

1 When Sheldon Got Penny’s Special Christmas Gift
Despite all of Sheldon’s nerdy moments during the series, his most memorable is when he received a very special Christmas gift from Penny. Sheldon expresses his hate of Christmas to anyone who will listen. So, after Penny gets Sheldon a gift, he begrudgingly searches for a gift for her.

However, when Sheldon opens his gift from Penny, he is blown away. Penny’s gift to Sheldon is a napkin signed by Leonard Nimoy. This gift is also special because Leonard Nimoy used the napkin before he signed it. Sheldon is so happy with his gift that he gives Penny tons of presents and a hug in return. This is the most awesomely nerdy moment for Sheldon because he shows that his love for Star Trek outshines his awkwardness with physical touch.
