I LOVE bananas.
Honestly could eat them every day, all day and a million different ways.
Sure, I love them just plain and peeled. But, I’ll never say no to a slice of high protein banana bread or a stack of paleo banana pancakes on Sunday morning.
Heck, I even wrote a post on how to freeze bananas for smoothies since this girl ALSO loves a banana split smoothie bowl for breakfast. All these banana eating ways are good and all, but this simple little roasted banana recipe MIGHT just be my FAV.
Maybe even more than the whole baked pears with honey!
What kind of bananas should I use?
Bananas are such a versatile fruit. They’re sweet, filling, have the most satisfying texture, and are downright DELISH.
One of the main reasons I absolutely love bananas is that they are so easy to use in baking. They add richness and sweetness and serve as a binding ingredient to hold together muffins, loaves, cookies, you name it! Also, they make anything you bake or cook so tender and moist (sorry to use that word but it’s so true) like in my High Protein Banana Bread Recipe and Paleo Banana Pancakes with Coconut Flour
When baking bananas on their own or in baked goods like these, you’ll have better results if you use very ripe bananas with lots of spots. They’re softer, they’re sweeter, and are that much more delicious when making roasted banana.
Baked Banana Ingredients
In my opinion, delicious, satisfying desserts don’t always have to be complicated. Some of my favorite desserts are also the simplest to make, and these baked bananas are at the top of my list! They only require a few ingredients, but they really satisfy the craving for a sweet, warm, baked treat at the end of the day. Imagine devouring a warm baked banana by a cozy fireplace at Christmas time. MMMM, there’s nothing better! This recipe only requires a few ingredients. You will need:

How to Roast Banana

I’m going to show you how to cook bananas in a simple, easy way! These baked cinnamon bananaswill be ready to enjoy in a few easy steps:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit and line a cookie sheet with a piece of parchment paper.
After peeling your bananas, slice them lengthwise and place them cut side up on the baking sheet. Rub the bananas generously with honey and a pinch of salt.
Bake your bananas in the preheated oven until they are soft and tender. This should take about 15-20 minutes.
Sprinkle each banana with cinnamon and devour!! I would bake a bunch if I were you, because you’ll be coming back for seconds- GUARANTEED.
